From the never-to-be-rereleased "Song of the South," to the extracted rape scene in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" attraction, Disney has had a few social blunders in its past, as have many companies that deal so intimately with entertainment and society.
There is often a fine line between satire, helping someone to "laugh at oneself," and insult - and this track likely crosses the line. Judge for yourself. It should be noted that Rosie O'Donnell has made "joking" comments recently with almost exactly the same punchline - although Rosie, a self-described progressive, exists in a more multi-culturally aware period of time than did the writers of the "Chilling, Thrilling" album. All of that to say, mistakes are made in cultural escapades all the time. They shouldn't be excused - nor should they be taken for more than face value.
